From an idea born out of frustration to a platform used by thousands
When Advertising Wasn't Enough
Arnaud launched his mortgage brokerage in Valencia, Spain, serving international clients. With a tight budget, ads and SEO weren't cutting it. So he made a decision that would change everything: he started knocking on doors of complementary professionals, real estate agents, lawyers, notaries, concierge services, wealth managers, and proposed working together.
A Network Exploding... on Excel
The idea worked. Leads started flowing in. Some partners wanted a commission, others preferred exchanging leads, others wanted tiered arrangements. Arnaud managed it all by hand: dozens of contracts sent one by one, an Excel spreadsheet growing out of control. It was chaos, but chaos that was growing the business.
Drowning in His Own Success
With dozens of active referral partners, the phone never stopped ringing. Calls, texts, every single day: "What's happening with my lead?" "Did the client sign?" It was impossible to keep up, to track every deal manually. Arnaud knew he was on the verge of something huge, but he couldn't keep going like this.
Referaly Was Born from a Real Need
Arnaud built the tool he'd been dreaming of: partner onboarding, automated contracts with different commission types, real-time tracking for every referrer. No more calls, no more texts, everything transparent. Built first for his own firm, other professionals discovered it and asked to use it too. Referaly went public, free with certain limits, and grew into a full suite of tools to power entire referral networks.
Arnaud Attencia
Based in Valencia, Spain, Arnaud launched his mortgage brokerage for international clients. By building his referral network the hard way, contracts, Excel, daily phone calls, he uncovered a problem nobody was solving. So he built the solution himself.
